Is Mercatox safe to use?

Mercatox encourages users to set up two-factor or two-stage authentication to increase the security of their trading funds.

It’s also important to consider the security and stability of any platform before depositing funds, as crypto exchanges are a common target for hackers. For example, on 2 January 2020, Mercatox posted the following on its Facebook page:

“Due to high overload of our system and attempts of DDoS attacks we forced temporarily suspend website for upgrading our hardware and software. The service will be restored as soon as possible. All coins are SAFE! Sorry for inconvenience.”

It’s a good idea to research online forums and trusted cryptocurrency websites to stay abreast of the latest news and developments regarding the security of any exchange.

Customer support

If you need help with a transaction or you’re unsure how to use Mercatox, you can access live chat customer support through your Mercatox trading account. You can also get in touch with the email support team.

Next steps

If you’ve compared several cryptocurrency exchanges and you’d like to open an account with Mercatox, you can do so by following the link on this page to the Mercatox website. You’ll need to provide your email address and create a password to open an account and start trading.

However, you can verify your account by providing your full name, address, contact details and two pieces of ID, which allows you to access a higher daily withdrawal limit. We also recommend that you set up two-factor authentication to provide an extra layer of security for any funds you deposit into your account.

Thank you for your feedback.

Our goal is to create the best possible product, and your thoughts, ideas and suggestions play a major role in helping us identify opportunities to improve.

Important information about this website

finder.com.au is one of Australia’s leading comparison websites. We compare from a wide set of banks, insurers and product issuers. We value our editorial independence and follow editorial guidelines.

finder.com.au has access to track details from the product issuers listed on our sites. Although we provide information on the products offered by a wide range of issuers, we don’t cover every available product or service.

Please note that the information published on our site should not be construed as personal advice and does not consider your personal needs and circumstances. While our site will provide you with factual information and general advice to help you make better decisions, it isn’t a substitute for professional advice. You should consider whether the products or services featured on our site are appropriate for your needs. If you’re unsure about anything, seek professional advice before you apply for any product or commit to any plan.

Products marked as ‘Promoted’ or ‘Advertisement’ are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder’s decision to show a ‘promoted’ product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options.

Where our site links to particular products or displays ‘Go to site’ buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product. You can learn more about how we make money here.

When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.

We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market.

Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labelling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.

Providing or obtaining an estimated insurance quote through us does not guarantee you can get the insurance. Acceptance by insurance companies is based on things like occupation, health and lifestyle. By providing you with the ability to apply for a credit card or loan, we are not guaranteeing that your application will be approved. Your application for credit products is subject to the Provider’s terms and conditions as well as their application and lending criteria.

Please read our website terms of use and privacy policy for more information about our services and our approach to privacy.

I was originally skeptical of this…

I was originally skeptical of this exchange after reading the reviews but after a couple months of solid trading I can safely tell you that this exchange site is great! The support group is especially great with the fast replies and kind manner. I can tell you that this site is trustworthy

Great exchange

Nice exchange, good fees!

Poor service

Poor service! All lies, you can see what they did to me and other on bitcointalk. Finally found an actual trading website that pays out “JUPITER TRADINGS” they have great customer service, made my third withdrawal today. check them out

It’s absolutely normal exchange

It’s absolutely normal exchange. I calmly deposit and withdraw my coins. Without any problem. One thing that I know that on this exchange prohibited double accounts. So I think if stick to their rules everything will be ok.

Stay away from Mercatox

You will never ever be able to withdraw all of the money you invested in. Forget about at least %50 of it.

respected guys

respected guys , if u want lose your money please invest in MERCATOX. . if you can able to trade OR wait for 6 months , FINALLY your amount is reduced by 50 % . ALL WASTE COIN
are available in mercatox

Tell me i won 0.25 BTC all i have to do…

Tell me i won 0.25 BTC all i have to do is send them 0.02 to activate my account, huge red flag for a scam.

Very good site!

Stay away from the poor mercatox…

Stay away from the poor mercatox exchange!

One or the other way mercatox will scam you just like they did to me.

Give me back my 3 Bitcoins. (at writing, the value is 15.176,06 USD)

I had withdraw processing

I had withdraw processing. But support didnt help me.

works fine

i could deposit , make a trade and withdraw over $1000
first withdrawal took 5min
the second took 2 hours

BEWARE ON WITHDRAWAL POLICYS

it was good relationship until i started withdrawal to put in my nono hardware wallet, they restricted me to 50 coins per day. i have submitted all necessary info and have not be able to get an increase in daily withdrawal.
CAUSION ! I BELIEVE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE COINS, THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY BUT NO COINS IN THERE BANK. BASICALLY THEY IN INSOVENT. AS LONG AS THEY KEEP YOUR COINS IN HOUSE THEY HAVE A GOOD FINANCIAL SHEET.
BEWARE OF WITHDRAWAL AND GET APPROVED ON LARGE WITHDRAWAL BEFORE YOU INVEST OR BE PREPAIRED TO NOT BE ABLE TO GET TOYOUR FUNDS/CRYTROS

Its been over a week and my BTC funds are still processing

I withdrew my BTC funds and still haven’t received them. Transaction history shows its “Still Processing” HOWEVER, its been 1 week and counting. NO Funds have shown up anywhere. The other wallet the BTC are supposed to be deposited into hasn’t even shown a “Receiving” or “Confirmation in Process” in regards to the deposit. My $$$$ is literally stuck in space somewhere. DONT EXPECT MERCATOX TO REPLY to any ticket questions regarding the transaction. IF YOU LOOK ONLINE, you will see hundreds if not thousands of people who are having the same problem. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT USE MERCATOX. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR $$$$$$$$ COINS. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. SIMPLY GOOGLE : “Mercatox Withdrawal Issues”. You will see a long long history of Mercatox screwing its users out of hard earned $$$$$.

They dont want to allow you witdraw …

They dont want to allow you witdraw Your funds

My withdrawal of Cryptos are still in …

My withdrawal of Cryptos are still in Processing Mode nearly 4 days after I hit the withdrawal button. I logged a ticket with MERCATOX. Unfortunately there is ZERO COMMUNICATION from The MERCATOX SUPPORT DESK. I sadly believe from all the comments others have left here and on the internet that I will not see my transaction complete or that they will mysteriously disappear. I have Video recordings and Captured Photo evidence of my transactions just in case something happens to my funds. I too have never placed a review here but I feel compelled to do so because of what I and others are experiencing. MERCATOX, if you are ethical and you care about your clients and their money and you are watching. PLEASE, PLEASE, COMMUNICATE with us and start sorting all of these issues out. Let us have a telephone number and speak with a person rather than have a silent help desk. Please respond to all helpdesk messages so that these issues get resolved. Lastly, I would like anyone who is considering this exchange to be aware of this situation as hundreds of potential clients could be placed in exactly the same situation that I and many others are in with this exchange.

SCAM! Mercatox Exchange

SCAM!! This exchange will allow you to deposit your crypto and even buy, but after you buy and later want to WITHDRAW your Crypto into your offsite wallet, your transaction will stay in processing mode indefinitely. It will NEVER hit the blockchain, and if you go to transaction history, you will see it “processing” for weeks and life. Because no one will return your support requests or even emails. If you look in your OPEN transactions, there will be NOTHING, therefore, you can NOT cancel. The support icon on the website does not get you any responses. Emails sent to [email protected] does not get replied, and a lot of scam coins like B3/ KB3 are also listed there. Please save yourself some headache, it’s a scam exchange. and NO! this has NOTHING to do with website congestions or server down. Simply a scam site. I lost $1ooo usd. Anybody who tells you otherwise is part of the scam or just the few people that they allow to process their transactions (on certain coins), so as to not make it too obvious. Don’t take my word for it there are soooo many others with this issue/ SCAM:
https bitcointalktopic=1662702.400
or just look up Mercatox on google.

I NEVER EVER write reviews, but this is the least I can do to help someone else.
